SPRAY PAINTER

An experienced individual for a technical role in Welkom (Free state)

Requirements

• A fast learner, with the ability to adapt and cope under pressure with a high-volume workload
• Motivated, hardworking and flexible
• Preparedness to work overtime regularly and most Saturdays
• Highly organized, punctual with the ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
• Good communication, planning, presentation and problem solving skills
• Ability to function well within a team-orientated environment, to interact and co-operate with all company employees
• At least 3 – 5 years experience in spray painting
• Have seasoned experience in spray painting techniques from start to finish
• A driver’s license and reliable transport
• Must be hands-on, responsible and be attentive to detail
• Able to manage a team of flatters and body fillers

Key Responsibilities

• Manage preparation and finishing teams (Flatters and body fillers)
• Prepare paint to desired colour and consistency
• Paint trucks, trailers and other related equipment
• Apply decals to machinery, trucks and trailers
• Maintain stock levels of all items required for the completion of duties
• Must keep up to date records of their hours for job cards
• Meeting deadlines
• Quality control on finished products
• Engage good housekeeping standards
• Follow safe work procedures and safety standards
