Our Client a Pretoria based Communications Company seeks to employ a SQL DBA to join their dynamic team.
Required skills and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- At least 3 years working experience as a MySQL or Microsoft SQL DBA
- Knowledge of writing SQL procedures
- Writing and tuning SQL queries
- Experience developing database objects such as Stored Procedures, Packages, Triggers, Views, etc
- Experience in creating and maintaining SQL replication procedures, performing back-ups & recovery procedures for an SQL compliant database server
- Database performance tuning and monitoring
- Knowledge of copying databases from one system to another
- Ability to assess database schema designs
