Key Responsibilities:
Material requirements
• Oil/Packaging materials are available to the plant, on-time and in the right condition
• Oil/Packaging materials are received accurately - quality & quantity checked before use
• Address any queries, problems and anomalies and proactively respond to changing conditions and requirements
• Materials wastage monitored and controlled

Data administration
• Obtain and Create production orders on SAP before 08h00 daily
• Record, update and edit production data, information and documents and maintain
Database
• Administration of Oil Filling time-sheets and leave applications
• Adhere to prescribed procedures
• Verify information and data on system
• Calculate factors (e.g. quantities, materials used, worker/department rates
• Maintain files
• Assist with follow up on stock take discrepancies

Production reporting
• Complete and maintain working documentation
• Maintain data and records according to company procedures
• Monthly stocktaking in Oil Filling
• Daily tracking of packaging material in conjunction with Packaging Stores
• Oil & Packaging material waste reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed
• Stock adjustment documents submitted daily
• Attend departmental meetings to report on production & materials

Supervision
• Supervise the designated area within time and budget
• Plan, schedule, assign, inspect, record and administrate materials
• Plan, develop and maintain suitable manpower capabilities for area of responsibility
• Supervise, develop, lead and maintain a motivated and high performance team
• Provide direction in respect of decision making

Customer support
• Provide analytical/administrative services to internal customers

Continuous improvement
• Initiate, participate and implement improvement initiatives
• Participate in identifying problems and trends in materials for costs and efficiencies

ACCOUNTABILITIES
To supervise and ensure the performance of section/plant and its staff in the smooth running of the production plant for maximum plant performance that timeously and safely meets customer and quality requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications – Grade 12 or N3
Experience – At least 2 years production exposure, with at least 3 years in office/operational environment
Report writing and Computer efficiency in Excel and SAP; database management or spread sheets
Skills – Knowledge of database management and manipulation, Good numeracy skills, Good communication skills and Computer literacy
Competencies - Using information technology, Analytical problem solving, Attention to detail, Methodical, Accurate, Responsive and Customer-centric
Leadership Competencies: Driving accountability, Drive and energy, Initiating action, Team leadership, Planning and organising and Communication skills
Knowledge- Excellent knowledge on Food safety management systems in particular FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP and other food industry related management systems, Knowledge on AIB standards will be advantageous, Knowledge on food manufacturing environments and practices will be advantageous
