STOREMAN:
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, colour, or product code.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Marks materials with identifying information
• Assist with writing out of GRN notes.
• File copies of waybills, invoices and packing slips.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers
• Drive forklift and do forklift inspection
• Checks and records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Receiving in of faulty goods and issuing out of repaired goods to and from couriers/suppliers/clients.
• Prepares parcels for mailing/couriers.
• Maintains inventory records
• Signs & verifies quantities and those items are correct on inter-branch transfers/waybills/packing lists.
• Responsible for Stock counts on a daily, monthly and yearly basis.
• Maintains ISO compliancy

RECEIVING CLERK
• Takes responsibility for all goods received from suppliers, both local and overseas.
• Verifies quantities, stock codes, and barcodes against purchase orders
• Records all items received on manual documentation from suppliers.
• Presents recorded information to inventory clerks for capturing.
• Verifies warehouse management system correctness against manual GRNS
• Maintains accurate barcodes on all items before placing on shelves
• Ensures printing of barcodes and attaching to items.
• Ensure packing onto shelves into main warehouse in accurate and timeously done.
• Ensures correctness of stock quantities in stores
• Weighs and ensures correctness of all goods received.
• Responsible for receiving of all stock from branches and distribution of these items
• Maintains inventory records
• Ensures help is provided to the picking and packing process daily.
• Responsible to take part and count stock at all stock takes.
• Ensures warehouse shelving and stores areas are kept clean and organised.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Matric Certificate
• One to three years stores or warehouse experience
• Forklift license an advantage
• Must be computer literate
• Ability to manage all aspects of the role in a pressurised environment, prioritize and multitask.
• Computer literacy essential - Syspro and Warehouse Management System (WMS) a must
• Basic mathematical skills
• Basic reasoning ability
• Sound problem solving, planning and fault finding abilities.
