Our client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidate to take up the role of a Supply Chain Manager

Key Performance Areas:
Manage the Supply Chain team that offers
procurement and related services to the company
Ensure that the Group SC Policies and other
relevant ones are understood and implemented by the team in the SC Function
Ensure that the SC processes and procedures
and support are aligned with Group Policies and relevant legislation
Oversee the tender management processes and
ensure full compliance with relevant policies and legislation prior to
submission to the Procurement Committee for approval
Implement the Group Strategies on SC as
directed
Identify common products and service that are
used across the Group and ensure participation in collaborative actions to
exploit the Group's purchasing power
Drive compliance to BBBEE for Preferential
Procurement and Enterprise Development (Scan the Supplier market to identify
eligible Black companies to participate in the Enterprise and Supplier
Development (ESD) programme of the Group)
Ensure the ESD beneficiaries' Development
Plans are implemented, monitored, reported on and corrective measures taken
where required
Manage the performance of the Supply Chain
team in line with the Group's performance management systems
Ensure Mentorship programmes and Succession
Plan is implemented as agreed with the relevant team members and the HR
Function
Report as directed by the Group SC Executive
on the SC Chain metrics as defined
Implement relevant plans to achieve approved
SC targets
Optimize
SC processes and procedures to deliver a quality service to internal Customers

Required Minimum Education/Training:
B. Degree or Equivalent
A Supply Chain related qualification or MCIPS will be an added advantage

Required Minimum Work Experience:
at least 5 years' experience in a leadership / management position within a Supply Chain Function or environment
A sound knowledge of ERP business systems is a pre-requisite, SAP experience would be an advantageous
Must be able to develop Strategic plans to enhance Procurement effectiveness, can interpret Financial statement and shows excellent interpersonal, commercial negotiation and report writing skills
Must have knowledge and experience in Contract management
Good project management experience will also be beneficial for the job
