International Pharmaceutical Company based on the East Rand has a vacancy pen for a Supply Chain officer.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a qualification in Logistics and 3-5 years Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehousing and some Production planning experience to join this client’s diverse international supply chain team;

• Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new and/or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
• Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.
• Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
• Design or implement plant warehousing strategies for production and packaging materials and/or finished products.
• Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
• Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, and/ or optimize customer service.
• Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
• Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or
quality assurance.
• Liaise and cooperate positively with supplier deliveries, stock, material destruction, losses during production.
• Understanding and issuing of relevant SAP codes for delivery and transferring back into stock for invoicing.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Matric (Grade 12)
• Supply Chain Diploma and/or PPIM
• Computer literacy essential (Microsoft Office) skills
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the industry (both technical and commercial)
• Critical and analytical thinking and accuracy
• Assertive, strong decision maker
• Excellent communication and social skills
• Ability to analyze and evaluate trends
• Strong negotiation skills
• Team player and ability to work in a dynamic team environment
• Knowledge of raw materials, packaging materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective
manufacture, packaging and distribution of goods.
