A leading South African retailer is looking for a highly talented Supply Chain Solution Manager to join their team in Cape Town.

They are looking for a results-oriented, self-motivated individual with retail/e-commerce experience to drive & develop their supply chain. You need to be passionate about the potential of e-commerce and delivering world-class customer experience. You need to excel in root cause analysis and be competent in using data to drive decisions.

You will be responsible for managing & executing a wide variety of supply chain initiatives and projects while working closely with all our business functions. You enjoy solving problems while seeking to invent and simplify.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Design or implement supply chain solutions that support business strategies, new business opportunities, improve customers experience and
cost reduction strategies.
• Working with engineering, operations and delivery platform teams, to develop comprehensive solutions to improve customer experience and
manage costs.
• Using strong critical thinking skills to build metrics, data analyses and problem solving.
• Design and implement procedures, metrics, and programs that drive adoption and continuous improvement to support growth and scale.
• Drive process improvements, best practice sharing, and standardization across the operational processes.
• Design and monitor key performance indicators across the supply chain.
• Project management and facilitation of process improvement initiatives across business operations and technologies.
• Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, position responsibilities, or system flows.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain or logistic required. (Honours degree preferred)
• 7+ years’ experience in project management and facilitation of PROCESS IMPROVEMENT initiatives across business operations and
technology
• 5+ years’ experience directly and indirectly managing people to deliver continuous improvement
• Proven track record of managing teams and delivering tangible results
• Does not need to know coding, but should be extremely tech savvy
• Cross-functional project and program management experience
• Presentation skills and highly competent in excel
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and data gathering skills, including the ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable solutions
