Syspro Administrator and developer
Exp: 3+ years. Contract: 12 months. Start; Mid May 2015. Rate per hour: R270. Telecoms background
A great opportunity exists for a Syspro Administrator/Software Developer on the East Rand with a large organization.
Qualifications
• Relevant National Diploma or degree in IT
Experience/Criteria
• Minimum 3 years working with and designing functionally rich software using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2010 C# and vb .NET
• experience in Clarion 6.0 or higher programming language experience will be highly advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years SQL Server 2005 Database Administration is essential: Writing T-SQL queries, database backups, performance monitoring

• Understanding of the general process flow in a manufacturing facility (from order entry through production planning, execution of production and shipment/billing)

IT Skills
• Hands on Syspro 6.0 implementation and experience especially with regards to Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Work In Progress (WIP) and Bills of Material (BOM).
• Syspro e .NET coding experience is essential.
• Syspro report writing would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Relational Database theory in a SQL Server 2005 environment
• Hands on experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2005, covering Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer/T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, DTS/SSIS
• MSCE qualification in Windows 2008 will be advantageous or at least 3 years working in a Microsoft Windows 2008 environment
Other Requirements
• Additionally, a background in network administration is also required to provide first line support to all current IT systems which include Windows 2008 servers, SQL 2005 administration and programming, and desktop support to the end users. Due to the fact this is a manufacturing facility occasionally the candidate has to be available outside of normal business hours.
Main job function
• Syspro administration and maintenance: day-end procedures, administrative tasks
• Syspro report writing :identify and create reports crucial to the business operation
• Enable and instruct users to use Syspro to the maximum potential in their job roles
• Maintaining and supporting applications coded in Microsoft C# and VB .NET.
• developing and documenting new software systems as required by the business
• Troubleshooting and solving all of SQL server related development
• Monitoring and troubleshooting all server hardware and network attached devices
• Provide first line support and troubleshooting all Microsoft Windows 2008 server issues
• Providing desktop support to local user
