System Administrator

Exciting opportunity exists to join Internet Company based in the CBD. This is a diverse role comprising of Network Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, Exchange Administrator, Windows Enterprise Administrator and Devops Engineer.

Requirements:
Relevant IT qualification
Experience with maintaining linux environments
Experience in networking and firewalls
Excellent DNS Skill to maintain split dns internal vs external
Cloud experience
Experience with Foreman and VMware
Can read and work with logs
Some DBA experience

Windows :
• Support Windows server 2008. Installation , system hardening , roles ,
• Excellent DNS Skill to maintain split dns internal vs external
• Active directory experience
• Support our Microsoft 365 email server – office 365: Integrate in on site Active directory server via federation services
Networking:
• Fault finding-analytical skills
• Cloud experience
• NATing
• Ipsec tunnels
• Experience in networking and firewalls
Dev ops:
• Puppet
• Ruby scripting experience
• Experience with Foreman and VMware
• Can read and work with logs
• Some DBA experience
• Experience with maintaining linux environments
Security knowledge
• Worked choosing suppliers/ contracts / analyses bandwidth costs

Responsibilities:
Systems administration of all day-to-day tasks and responsibilities and ensuring the continual uptime of all production servers
Maintain a secure and solid IT Infrastructure for all ecommerce applications
Maintain Ubuntu operating systems and Jenkins build nodes including sysctl tweaks
Maintain Security policies for PCI using various tools like nmap , nessus and Qualsys web security tools
Delegate maintenance tasks and new project implementation to IT team
Support developers infrastructure: install and maintain Subversion SVN with LDAP support and Webdav using Apache ,maintain Redmine on Centos

Devops Engineer - maintain all Linux servers relating to the website. This includes Nginx, Tomcat and MySQL. Responsible for monitoring all servers across environments using multiple tools, including: NewRelic, Nagios
Infrastructure Engineer - support, maintain and troubleshoot virtual environment using VMware ESXi.
Network Administrator - maintain and administer all WAN connections, firewalls and inter-datacentre IPSec Tunnels
Exchange Administrator
Windows Enterprise Administrator -support, maintain and troubleshooting all Microsoft Windows Servers within the company’s domain. Responsible for supporting all hosted application servers on Windows Server 2008R2, including technologies such as SQL Server 2012 and IIS 7.5. Maintain Microsoft patching by way of WSUS and keep the File server health and disk usage managed by way of security permissions, quotas and file screens

Remuneration: R25,000 CTC (negotiable)
