Our Consulting client based in the Durban area are searching for a Dedicated System Designer to join their team on a permanent basis! You will be responsible for the following: • Planning, Design as well as the oversight of the construction • Influencing the direction in regard to functionality, development platforms, appearance, operating platforms • Participation in the overall structure of the system modules • Ensure the clients application systems address customer requirements, are built to good quality • Protection of the strategic vision of the product • Ensure all development work is performed in such a wat that it improves the value of the software package • Use of graphical methods in designs and documentation • Prep of the design sketches for the user interface • Prep proof of software prototypes • Maintenance • Service delivery • Project management • Software development Capabilities include: • Degree • 5 years’ experience in a similar role Requirements: • Interface with the user(s) in order to determine their (evolving) needs • Generate the highest level of requirements, based on the user's needs and other constraints such as cost and schedule • Ensure the set of high level requirements is consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined • Perform cost-benefit analyses to determine how requirements are best met. • Bring to the Head of Service Delivery’s attention any Software Requirements Specifications (SUR/SCR) that are unclear • Make use of the Requirements Specification Checklist when reviewing a Software Requirements Specification to ensure that all of the information has been clearly articulated and is complete • When required, make updates to the Glossary of Terms – A list of retail industry and Retail Directions product specific terminology Interested candidates can forward their comprehensive written applications to the following e-mail: ****@*****.*** or fax to: (***)-***-****, you can also contact Caitlin on (***)-***-**** Correspondence will only be conducted with short listed candidates.
