A proudly South African Specialized Debt Management and Metering Infrastructure company is currently looking to employ an experienced Systems Engineer with at least five year's commercial experience within a technical Service Desk/Support role. Responsibilities will include 1st to 2nd line customer support, systems upgrades, datacentre operations, maintenance and some technical documentation. The successful candidate will be working as an integral member of a busy technical support team, they will be required to provide support by telephone, email and remote access to our Gauteng and Kimberly offices. This is the ideal role for a highly motivated individual, with excellent customer service skills, very good systems and network knowledge and a real passion to learn and increase their exposure to new technologies. The position will also allow the ability to advance into a more implementation focused role as you gain additional experience.

Self-motivated, organised and able to work on their own initiative. Experience of maintaining & supporting the following: Servers, Desktops, Laptops, Printers and Computer peripherals. Microsoft Windows Server 2003 to 2012, Microsoft Windows XP to Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2010 and above,Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and above, Microsoft Active Directory, Network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP ADSL/DSL Routers, SOHO Firewalls and Switches Advantageous (not essential) skills: Installing, configuring or troubleshooting. You must have the ability to work autonomously, have a good work ethic and be a team player.

Desirable skills
Industry Certification: MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer): Private Cloud
3-5 years Experience with Microsoft Private and Public Cloud
1-2 years Experience working with other visualization technologies such as VMware
Office365
Administration Experience

Essential Requirements
Grade 12
Industry Certification: MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer): Infrastructure Engineer
5-10 years Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server
5-10 years Extensive experience with core Microsoft Windows roles and features
5-10 years Proven history of incident response, diagnostic activities, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Action Plans, and advanced troubleshooting
3-5 years experience in documenting environment and processes
5-10 years Understanding of Microsoft Windows Server fundamentals and concepts
5-10 years Understanding of Microsoft Exchange
5-10 years Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and it components (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.) fundamentals and concepts
5-10 years Understanding of visualization technologies fundamentals and concepts
5-10 years Understanding of network and storage principles
1-2 years Understanding of the concepts of "cloud"
5-10 years Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS protocols, firewall, load-balancing technologies and firewalls.
3-5 years Virtual environments knowledge such as Hyper-V and VMware.
5-10 years Microsoft Windows Server architecture design and implementation
5-10 years implementation of Active Directory Domain Services
5-10 years Scripting experience, specifically with PowerShell to automate existing and workloads and routine system admin tasks.
