International Company in Durban seeking Embedded Software developer

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB:

• BSCENG / B Tech or equivalent electronic qualification.
• Microsoft developer certifications.
• 2 years experience as a software developer/technical lead.
• 2 years analysing, designing and developing N-tier custom software applications in a medium sized enterprise environment.
• 2 years experience in developing software solutions. (C# , Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, T/SQL, UML , ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC)
• 2 years experience in developing web services. (WCF, Web API)
• Valid SA driver’s license Essential

• To research, architect, analyze, design, develop, code, test and document quality enterprise-wide business applications and sub-systems from specification to full release. 
• To design products that meet both internal and external customer requirements and design standards and specifications. 
• To identify issues and risks and develop plans to mitigate such issues and risks. 
• Provide engineering input including technical, costs, schedules and risks where required. 
• Provide problem solving and technical support to relevant departments. 
• Interface with customers and suppliers to define/resolve specification(s) issues and recommend solutions where required. 
• Interface with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects, product, specifications etc. 
• Provide engineering training to both internal and external customers. 
• Review specifications both internal and external to ensure all requirements are clearly defined and understood. 
• Generate software specifications as per project requirements. 
• Ensure the correct selection of technologies and development tools to meet project requirements. 
• Software design to meet the requirements of both internal and external specifications. 
• Architectural design, functional design, software coding, integration and testing as per predefined specification and project requirements.
