ACCOUNTING CLERK

A vacancy exists in the Durban office of a national firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors for an experienced Accounting Clerk to commence duties as soon as possible.

Main Responsibilities

• Cashbooks
• Compilation of Annual Financial Statements, management accounts
• Vat workings and submissions and reconciliations
• Payroll workings and submissions
• Individual tax computations
• Accounting - trust audits
• Preparing Financial statements

The following requirements would be a bonus
• Familiar with SARS and tax registrations/tax queries
• Familiar with Workmen’s compensation and return of earnings

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Preferably someone studying towards an accounting degree
• 2 - 3 years’ work experience
• Computer literate (intermediate level)
• Fluent in English, written and oral
