CodeSpace is seeking people with coding experience who want to share their knowledge and skills with our students.

OVERIEW OF TEACHING ROLE

The teaching team is responsible for teaching coding classes, coaching students to self-learn as they complete code challenges and projects, grading assignments and giving feedback to students.

REQUIREMENTS

Proficient in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, MySQL, or some of these
Excellent communication skills
Able to prepare lesson plans
Able to explain concepts well and according to CodeSpace’s teaching methodologies
Able to engage a classroom of students and gauge their level of understanding
Able to grade assignments and assessments, providing clear feedback to students
Able to facilitate self-learning
Able to work well in a team
Able to deliver learning content according to a schedule
Commitment to CodeSpace’s mission and vision
Experience in teaching beneficial
Industry experience beneficial

JOB DETAILS

We are looking for full time and part time teachers available during the week, as well teachers who are available on weekday evening and/or Saturday mornings. Location: Cape Town
