Salary: R15 000 – R25 000 per month depending on level of experience
Our client is currently looking for a Technical Author. The successful candidate will gather and document key development outputs, which enhance the CMD product.

Duties:

• Gather and document key development outputs, which enhance the CMD product
• Work with a wide range of internal stakeholders
• Report feedback in a pro-active manner to all stakeholders, managers, directors and colleagues
• Work with the Product team, the Development team and the QA team to ensure all software enhancements are documented in a timely manner
• Become a subject matter expert on key modules of the CMD application
• Provide the Implementation teams with clear and concise information on all software functionality
• Develop & maintain a strong relationship with the appropriate client facing teams
• Have a strong awareness of all new CMD features
• Ensure all new software enhancements are clearly communicated/documented to the training and implementations teams
• Ensuring the adherence to all quality and health & safety policies, practices and procedures

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• IT related diploma or degree relating to software development
• Experience of testing content management systems and automation tools
• Proven experience with Selenium Web-Driver using Java with a minimum 2 of years’ experience
• Automated Performance Testing.
• API Driven Testing.
• Knowledge of SQL Server
• Experience testing on windows(ASP.NET, .NET, SQL) , GUI applications, web services and/or web applications (Backend and frontend) .
• Proven understanding of white box, grey box and black box testing techniques
• Excellent understanding of software design techniques
• Solid understanding of object oriented programming, design and debugging skills.
• Exposure to Fitnesse and Test or Behaviour Driven Development.
• Experience of source control systems and configuration management.
• Experience programming at least one object oriented language preferably Java.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable.
• API testing Experience using jMeter will give an advantage.
• ITSTQB certification would be an advantage
