• 5 – 7 YEARS PURCHASING EXPERIENCE WITHIN ENGINEERING / MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
• CONTRACT MANAGEMENT & SUPPLIER EXPERIENCE
• STRONG TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS, COMPONENTS AND SUPPLY MANAGEMENT
• COMPUTER LITERATE
• DRIVERS LICENCE
DUTIES
• Ensuring that Procurement Procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure that the required quotations are obtained.
• Ensuring that orders are processed within 24 hours from receipt.
• Ensuring that continues price negotiation on every order placed. 2% Saving on Savings Report.
• Daily printing of Outstanding Purchase Report and follow-up on overdue deliveries.
• Provide daily feedback to internal customers on status relating to overdue deliveries.
• Printing of Recommended Orders Report on a daily basis and ordered of items as per
recommendation.
• Printing of Outstanding Purchase Order report and expediting of overdue deliveries.
• Continuously reviewing service levels of current suppliers and implementing enhancement
measures.
• Ensure that procurement queries to be resolved within 48 hours of receipt and introducing
remedial measures to prevent recurrences.
• Communicating and negotiating professionally with suppliers.
• Preparing documentation from newly identified suppliers and submitting authorised New Supplier Registration documents to superior.
Daily consulting with Stock Controller with regards to the processing of purchase orders for Request for Quotation (RFQ).
