JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Grade 12
• Qualified Artisan or Mechanical Engineering qualification
• 8-10 Years working experience in a technical environment
• At least 5 years in a Management position.
• A tertiary qualification in Road Transport Management will be an advantage.
• Proven track record of successfully managing a large workshop preferably with buses and trucks

JOB OUTPUTS
• Manage and control the complete engineering / technical function in the Business Unit and ensure deadlines and quality and budget
standards are met.
• Develop and implement the Vehicle Fleet Maintenance roll-out plan.
• Ensure the effective management and maintenance of facilities, tools and equipment.
• Manage and develop Technical Personnel.
• Compile and manage the Technical Department budget within prescribed parameters and standards
• Oversee the management and control of stores’ spares and tyre stock.
• Monitor and control the Technical Asset register.
• Monitor the Engineering Component Testing Programme.
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act in the Workshop.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Will be required to travel within company's operational area.
• Will be required to work long and late hours and sometimes over weekends and standby.
