As the Technical Manager, you will effectively manage all technical services at Hospital level.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Management of all hospital facilities, clinical infrastructure and assets.
• Management of all staff within your Technical Department.
• Ensure proper planning of resources in accordance with PAS 55 principles.
• Training of nursing, pharmacy, admin and management staff on all technical related issues.
• Implementation of Group policy and procedures to manage and maintain the hospital facilities and assets.
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other required legislation.
• Responsible for project management of all small building projects at Hospital level.
• Custodian of the asset management database on the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) ensuring reliability and validity of all data.
• Prepare monthly reports on staff, contractors, facilities and assets of the hospital.
• Attend meetings at Hospital level as well as inter-departmental with a focus on nursing, health and safety and infection control.

Applicants for this position must have:

• A National N.Diploma with Trade Certificate or National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (T3 or S4) at NQF Level 6
• 3 years technical and managerial experience
• Experience in electrical and mechanical engineering within a Hospital setting
• Asset and Financial Management experience
