A BSc Honours or equivalent in Chemistry / Water Utilisation /Engineering / Microbiology / Biochemistry is a pre-requisite with a minimum of 10 years in the Pulp & Paper industry


The incumbent will be responsible for the following inter alia:

• Maintaining / increasing confidence in Pulping applications as well as and growing the company’s Pulping brand position at various customer sites;
• Leading, directing and managing the relevant associates within technology hub;
• Leading, manage and participating in technical projects for sales generation and attrition prevention ;
• Management of training initiatives to empower sales associates;
• Managing alliance partners to leverage opportunities;
• Support and improve SHERQ compliance to deliver on the targeted sales at the lowest possible risk to the company.

The successful candidate will have advanced Technical Pulping skills, be a people-person, practically orientated, able to handle pressure, a problem solver and a team member who is self-motivated. They must be able to communicate at all levels, be organized and self - disciplined. A driver’s license, computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft packages and understanding of business systems is a necessity. The incumbent must have advanced writing skills and in particular technical report writing.
