Description: A supplier of analytical laboratory equipment and consumables in all major sectors of industry is looking for a technical sales consultant to look after existing customers and grow the company’s business. This will include sales of entire range of the company’s products in South Africa. The technical sales consultant will need to comply with the administration requirements of the company; ensure data in CRM is updated on a regular basis; provide reports to the Sales Manager; call on existing customer base and search for new clients; installation of sold instruments; assistance with deliveries when travelling to certain areas; conduct/assist with product demonstrations, seminars and exhibitions; provide telephonic and on-site technical support to customers; prepare quotations for customers; follow up on prospects and provide regular feedback to the Sales Manager.

Key Requirements: National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or BSc degree with Chemistry Majors; laboratory experience working with microwave digestion, synthesis and extraction an advantage. Driver’s licence and own transport is required. The candidate must be willing to travel within South Africa.

Additional skills required: Excellent communication skills; good time management; friendly personality; drivers license and own car essential; no criminal record; must be willing to travel 80% of the time.

Remuneration: Market related and dependent on experience.
