Our client in Paarl is looking for an Internal Sales Representative:

We are currently looking at appointing an internal sales representative at our Paarl office to meet the following criteria:
• Needs to have diverse experience in the technical chemical field
• Needs to have sales experience
• Salary will be market related all depending on the experience of the person
• Internal sales based in Paarl, Western Cape
• Commencement : as soon as possible

o Key Performance Areas/ Functions
• Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
• Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
• Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
• Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
• Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
• Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services
• Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
• Identify and resolve client concerns
• Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
• Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
• Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
• Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock
• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
• Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and service
• Follow-up for collection of payment
• Other duties as assigned

o Knowledge and Skill requirements
• Technical background (either in the form of a chemical degree or from years of experience in the chemical industry)
• Knowledge of sales skills and techniques. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelor's Degree and/ or sales or marketing experience
• A professional appearance providing a positive company image to the public
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to persuade and influence others
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations
• Ability to create, compose and edit written materials

o Other
• Work may require local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid driver’s license and suitable vehicle
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and limited to extensive overnight travel
