Key Duties:

To maintain existing client base and turnover targets and to grow market share according to budgets and agreed targets. Securing orders and building a sales pipeline in accordance with strategic objectives. Promoting the company’s existing products; namely the repair and maintenance of rock drills (drifters) as well as the supply of high precision engineered spare parts.

Maintain regular face to face and telephonic contact with clients.

Ability to conduct underground surveys of drill rigs and conditions

Problem solving with specific client needs when they arise

Going underground to conduct drill rig audits

Prospecting skills coupled with cold calling ability to generate new clients

Problem solving and analytical skills

Sales administration and report writing for monthly sales department reviews.

Technical report writing skills and ability to offer training and skills development programs.


Candidate Requirements:
Technically trained, such as an artisan or experience in a technical environment

Hydraulic and / or Mechanical engineering experience

Fluent in conversational level Afrikaans

Underground Mining experience

Experience with trackless mining methodology

Willing to travel two days a week to outlying customers


QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate should hold a tertiary qualification in metal working, preferably a qualification as

An artisan, hydraulic fitter or similar.

Sales training or experience in the mining industry.

Knowledge of underground working conditions especially in trackless mining environment.
