PBT Group has a vacancy for a suitable and qualified experience Technical Specialist.

The role is overall accountable for quality management across IM processes and projects, coordination and review of all applications solutions and services to ensure operability, review and monitoring testing to ensure governance and ensure that standards are being followed, and coordination and validation of the integration work to meet the overall business process integration requirements.

DUTIES:

Integration:
- Validate that the integration functional designs meet the overall business process integration requirements and are consistent with the Integration Design.
- Be able to design the flow and sequencing of events within the integration solution across applications.
- Work closely with the BRMs to confirm the integration requirements identified.
- Facilitate Design sessions with the interfacing application teams to ensure cross-team communication and collaboration.
- Identify cross-team issues, and communicate them to the appropriate Service Owners.
- Assess the impact of the integration requirements to the enterprise architecture.
- Validate that the application requirements meet overall business process needs, are within the project scope, and are internally consistent.
- Validate that the integration solution and enterprise architecture designs utilise the enterprise integration architecture components appropriately.
- Identify cross-team dependencies early in the project life cycle.

Transition:
- Coordinate the review of all applications and services to ensure operability.
- Determine how the new application impacts the organisation.
- Serve as a liaison between Services and Support, ensuring Support’s needs and expectations are met by Services.
- Manage all service introduction tasks and resources, providing timely feedback.
- Review and be responsible for the overall integration of support requirements (i.e. service requests/change requests) for the Sasol applications.
- Ensure that all requirements, service introduction plans, and commitment changes are communicated to all affected team members.
- Resolve issues, escalating to key stakeholders as appropriate.

Testing:
- Review the development process to ensure that defect tracking (identification, fixing, re-testing and migration of defects) is properly addressed.
- Monitor progress of testing to ensure validation, tests and pilots for applications are tested on time and within budget; and that they meet expectations.
- Ensure that the team follows the testing standards and testing methodology as specified in the governance approach.
- Ensure that there is maintenance and updates of the design of processes and tools used for the process development purposes.
- Ensure standardisation of testing processes across IM.
- Monitor testing processes and assess process compliance.

Quality Management:
- Define quality management processes.
- Ensure that projects understand the quality management processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality and processes.
- Gain sponsorship or buy-in for quality activities i.e. peer reviews, quality reviews etc.
- Conduct quality management reviews.
- Accountable for verifying that project methodology is used in projects.
- Perform quality and risk related tasks to prevent quality problems and control quality outcomes and manage risk exposure.
- Document the results of the QA review meetings and communicate results to PMs.
- Coordinate on QA results, and coach the project on correcting non-conformance items.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on delivery excellence.
- Provide coaching and mentoring on process improvement.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree, more than 8 years of IT experience with 5 or more years of experience of leading Integration efforts within the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Experience designing integration solutions.
- Ability to define and communicate the “big picture” in terms of the overall integration solution (both functional and technical components) and break it down into smaller manageable units.
- Understanding of the concepts of re-use and when to apply.
- Exposure to quality practices, policies and methods for delivery.
- Leadership confidence and judgment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead broad audience through technical concepts.
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Must be results oriented and demonstrate a positive attitude showing adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
- Strong leadership and collaborative skills to work in a cross functional.
- Good understanding to IT technology landscape and roadmap.
- Ability to develop and manage all aspects of the service introduction effort, including plans, interdependencies, schedule, budget, tools, and required personnel.
- Ability to document and communicate the progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards.
- Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve testing issues and risks, escalating them as needed.
- Detail oriented.
- Understanding of testing concepts and how testing fits in with the overall project life cycle
- Ability to define, implement, and maintain project process guidance related to quality management, tailoring organisational processes and communicating with the project team as needed.
- Exposure to quality practices, policies and methodology.
