Introduction:
Our client based in Chamdor (Krugersdorp), is looking for a Technical Specialist (Chemical Plant Environment). Candidates MUST have a BTech/BSc in Chemical Engineering and 3 – 5 years’ post qualification experience in a chemical plant environment (non-negotiable).

MAJOR DUTIES / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage technical investigations and projects.
• Provide innovative technical input to assist in maximizing efficiencies and reliability of the plant.
• Involved in product development and process related projects, modifications and improvement.
• Ensure capital projects are completed on time and in budget.
• Champions PSM implementation and resource optimization projects.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• Std 10, Grade 12 education preferably.
• BTech / BSc in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ post qualification experience in a chemical plant environment (non-negotiable)
• Experience in product development especially in laboratory and pilot plant work would be advantageous.
• Computer literacy is essential.
