Technical Support Specialist

TeqDC has an opportunity for a Technical Support specialist in New Zealand.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, & Experience:
Technical or engineering qualifications.
Relevant trade and industry experience on MAN, Western Star and or Dennis Eagle products.
Knowledge of relevant engine portfolio’s and products.
Computer literacy to a level necessary to develop effective presentations for internal/external customers and write technical reports.
Competent user of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.
Basic financial experience.

Key responsibilities:

Liaise with customers, branch Service teams and technical support team to ensure all issues are addressed and supported technically and elevated to factories as required.
Co-ordinate support activities for the MAN, Western Star and Dennis Eagle market inclusive of managing product campaigns and upgrades.
Provide support into costing of maintenance contracts for sales tenders.
Provide technical assistance on company products to the company’s branches and dealers/agents.
Ensure technical bulletins and service letters are actioned and distributed to branches for further distribution to technicians.
Actively pursue strong working relationships to foster credibility, trust and understanding of the company’s capabilities.
Identify new technologies or solutions available to address support issues for the company’s products.
Regular contact with the Factory Support Team on technical support issues with involvement in support of warranty and policy discussions.
Provide regular technical feedback to the relevant members of the company of any issues via Field Reports.
Provide feedback to sales teams in relation to installation & commissioning issues.
Work with branch management to provide consistent solutions to Service issues.
Develop customer relationships with key accounts.
Provide installation & commissioning support to the sales process.
