Our client, a young and dynamic company based in Rondebosch, currently has the following fixed term (18 month) vacancies

TECHNICIAN
(Electrical Engineer)

The successful candidate is an enthusiastic person with good work ethic and the ability to work within a team environment. A relevant qualification (Btech Electrical Engineering) and 1 year previous experience in a wiring and systems assembly environment are prerequisites for this position. Proven experience with Creo Parametric and/or Solidworks is a further requirement. Computer literacy (MS Office/Excel/Visio & LabView), electronic circuit design and experience in quality control, work standards and safety awareness will be to the applicant’s advantage.

Main responsiblities: Undertake Creo parametric/Solidworks technical drawings and wiring schematics * electrical wiring and fault detection of electrical components and systems * electrical component specification and procurement * train subordinates in terms of standard operating procedures for electro-mechanical assembly and wiring * all other ad hoc tasks related to the position.
