To function as Project Supervisor on signalling projects, utilizing the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure successful execution of project, by meeting present objectives as set by the clients in terms of time, quality and cost constraints

A relevant National Diploma (Electronics) (light current) is required, registration with SACPCMP  and ECSA in an Eng Tech will be advantageous.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant field is required.Drivers Licence code 8 (code EB) is required.

Establish initial needs and requirements of clients through detail, organising and the provision of recommendations regarding alternatives to ensure client satisfaction.Ensure successful project execution and completion by managing cash flow, contract administration, safety responsibilities, site investigations, quality assurance, project team, time and cost management.The management and control of tasks within time, cost and quality constraints against the background of knowledge and standard procedures and techniques.Should be able to show a good balance between the development of innovative concepts (creative ability) and the use of standard procedures.Maintain the balance between the technical effectiveness of solutions and acceptable costs, within the available time span.Responsible for on-site training of sub-ordinates.


Knowledge of Standard Engineering Codes of Practice, Contract administration, Estimating and tendering procedures, Budgeting and cost control, Safety management, Basic knowledge of company costing systems.Company internal regulations and systems, Quality management.Sound knowledge of railway signalling systems.Sound knowledge of OHS Act (Act 85 and Construction Regulations).Budget control.Construction executionPlanning and OrganizingComputer literacyConflict managementTime management – capable of meeting tight deadlinesStress management – handling of pressureEnthusiasm, drive and determinationClient orientatedInnovativeDetail and results orientated, problem solving skillsCreativeAnalyticalComplying attitudeGood interpersonal skills.
