An automotive company is looking for a Temporary Technical Trainer their organisation. The position will be based in Pretoria Rosslyn and the criteria for the position include but are not limited to;

Qualification:

Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
· Technical Diploma (3 year) or Degree in Electronic Engineering
· Service or Field experience of automotive products and servicing
· Practical technical experience in automotive
· Mechanical / electrical experience of automotive products
· Knowledge on electronic systems and diagnosis
· Knowledge on all types of vehicular system

Main Purpose of the Job:

Conduct After Sales Technical Training courses and presentations on all vehicular system used by company range
· Deliver 100 training days/ year
· Course participants could be local company personnel, importer and dealer staff, local trainers, end users and college staff
· Course delivery could be at the Company premises, dealer location or customer location in the field

Key Result Areas:

· Prepare and organise all aspects of the training courses; materials, components, products, classrooms etc

Skills and Experience: (Advantageous)

Feedback information of assessments of training course and material used. Take an active role in originating and developing new training materials
· Take responsibility for specific products as required to lead training delivery, in particular: - advanced training, electrical and diagnosis
- focus 60% of time on practical and 40% on theoretical
· Work within the Product Support Group to develop the capacity of the dealer network to diagnose and solve customer concerns through training courses
· Provide feedback to the After Sales Managers and Product Support Groups on any concerns that have been brought to the trainer's attention and support the development of local training centres in co-operation with the Training Manager

Competencies (skills, knowledge and attitudes):

Be prepared to travel and undertake training in any location
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Microsoft Office programmes knowledge
· English knowledge
· Be self-motivated and capable of co-ordinating own personal agenda within the training activity
· Have ability to learn new products to a level where training can be delivered at the point of new product launches
· Have high professional and personal standards and a keen eye that attends to details
· Team player with the ability to work independently without supervision for extended periods
· High level of integrity is required
· Quick thinking and problem solving skills

Reporting Structure:

· The incumbent will report to the Technical Training Coordinator (AME)

Additional Requirements:

Be available after hours if the role requires
· Flexibility for regular travel
