A Healthcare Company based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg, requires the skills of a Test Analyst. The person will be reporting to the QA Manager

Main Duties
•Complete test cases according to functional test specifications
•Run automated test scripts
•Log bugs/defect reports in defect logging application
•Effectively communicate bugs/defects with product managers and developers
•Advise product managers on product readiness for UAT
•Update test cases according to functionality changes
•Design test cases for medium and high priority projects
•Test specification reviews and sign-off

Requirements
Qualifications
An appropriate tertiary qualification: University or Tech
Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle

Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas:
•Testing & Test analysis
•Software development exposure
•Experience in logging and tracking defects from open to close, using an issue tracking tools such as Quality Centre etc.
•Hands-on testing experience within a whole range of functional testing and system testing
Knowledge
•Product knowledge would be advantageous
•Very good knowledge of testing methodologies
•Test analysis knowledge
•Intermediate SQL knowledge
•Windows operating system knowledge
•Good knowledge of different web browsers
•Some knowledge of mobile software platforms, PC hardware, General software, Basic networking, Basic programming concepts
•Familiarity with the principles of technical design and programming, both OO and procedural
•UML – Use cases and, sequence and activity
•SDLC
•Risk identification
•Behavior of software systems
•HCI principals
•HP QTP 11 knowledge
•HP LoadRunner knowledge
•High level analytical and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to investigate complex issues and make informed decisions about them when written guidelines are not necessarily available.
•Develop & implement test case methodologies & processes.
•Find issues in the product & work with the Development Team to resolve them as soon as possible.
•Participate in the release process to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
•Document test results and report on software defects.
