Our client based in Cape Town is looking for a Test Competency Lead to join their team.
Requirements
DUTIES:
? Plan, schedule and prioritize tests and resources (personnel and equipment) to meet development targets.
? Building and managing a team of testers.
? Design, co-ordinate and execute all testing, in liaison with the project managers to ensure comprehensive solution validation and verification against approved business requirements.
? Develop and implement test case methodologies and processes.
? Conform to industry best practices and frameworks for testing.
? Establish a highly effective and well documented test environment.
? Establish a test case repository.
? Provide test results and test status to project managers.
? Report on software defects.
? Seek to continuously improve software quality, testing tools, testing processes and testing environments.
? Change management.
REQUIREMENTS:
? Degree in IT or Engineering.
? ISTQB / ISEB Certification.
? Must have worked in an agile team and understand agile frameworks (Scrum, XP, ARUP).
? Project Management qualification would be advantageous.
? Formal software quality assurance or testing certification.
? Understand project life cycle and software development methodologies.
? At least 5 years’ experience as test analyst or test manager.
? Working experience writing automated test cases, writing test procedures, test execution and defect reporting.
? Experience in Automated Testing tools e.g. WinRunner, Test Director, QTP, Quality Centre.
