Test engineer for a communications security company.

• Writing test Cases and Strategies
• Writing of documentation enabling testing of features
• Executing Test Cases
• Logging of defects
• Interaction with Support department recreating problems logged by clients
• Generating test data and data validation
• Execute regression, functional, and system testing
• Testing of software changes to ensure that the changes meet the defined business requirements and do not introduce risk to the business
• Setup, configuration and management of test environments
• Ensure coverage of high risk and high priority functionality
• Contribute to improving the testing competency through tools, processes etc.

Required:

• Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role at a comparable level in a company for at least 4 years
• Experience with issue tracking software such as Jira.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to interact professionally within a diverse group of staff
• Strong analytical skills and logical thinking, should be able to analyse the given business situation and judge all possible scenarios
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Work productively within teams and effectively prioritise their own tasks
• Work both independently and in a team, helping to establish procedures and policies
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong track record of delivery and commitment to quality and a passion for improving systems

Desired:

• Develop, execute and maintain automated test suites across multiple environments: Web, Portal, Web Services, desktop and back-end server applications.
• Experience in automated testing with mobile applications
• Certification in software testing (ISTQB)
• Strong understanding of networking and communications products
• Understanding of computer security and cryptography
