Training institution that is HWSETA, TETA and Department of Labour accredited seeks a full-time facilitator/assessor with own transport to:

• To lead or assist with training courses for Occupational Health and Safety Modules as requested.
• To assist in the preparation and updating of training course material/modules as required
by the company.
• To assist in the review, modification and preparation of training manuals as required by the company
• To evaluate the effectiveness of existing training programs and methods and to effectively meet participants needs.
• To evaluate own performance as a trainer.
• To seek further training techniques and methods applicable to the Occupational Health and Safety Training field and recommend innovations.
• To provide an example in adherence to the Fundamentals, Principles and Values of the company.
• To maintain the company policies.
• To promote attendance at Training courses and seminars at all opportunities.
• To support other staff members in training matters.
• To carry out an ongoing personal development program in the area of Education and Training.
• To attend Training Team meetings, conferences and seminars to further develop knowledge, skills and attitudes.
• Attend relevant company assessment or quality related meetings.
• Knowledgeable on the qualification and/or unit standard(s) being assessed.
• Plan the assessment and/or use pre-designed assessment tools and guides given by the company.
• Ensure that the agreement is reached on the evidence presented of prior achievement.
• Ensure that an assessment plan is agreed with the learner from facilitating sessions.
• Ensure that the candidate is fully briefed on the assessment process during facilitating sessions.
• Ensure the delegate did collect evidence of performance, evaluate and judge the evidence and record all questions and responses used for the purpose of meeting the evidence requirements and range statements of the standard.
• Ensure the learner receives prompt, accurate and constructive feedback from the company.
• Ensure the learner has demonstrated competence and completes the required documentation.
• Agree a new assessment plan with the learner if further evidence is required.
• Conduct assessments according to the relevant ETQA principles and policies.
• Complete all documentation and recording requirements and to forward the results to the ETQA.
• Regularly review the assessment process and implement changes as and when needed.
• Comply with all moderation requirements.
