We are seeking a Registered Nurse with Theatre Recovery experience to work in a centrally located, top private hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the anaesthetist with various types of anaesthesia
• Monitor & record the patient’s vital signs
• Conduct nursing care within scope of practice to ensure compliance with SANC regulations
• Knowledge of Theatre policies & procedures.
• Maintain all health, safety and infection control standards to ensure a safe & quality patient environment.

Requirements:

• Registered with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
• A post basic Diploma or Certificate in Anaesthetic and Recovery Nursing Science will be an advantage
• Prior anaesthetic nursing experience.
• Be willing to work shifts in accordance with the requirements of the unit.
• Competent in the demonstration and assessment of all clinical procedures and management of risks.
• Basic knowledge of stock control principles.
• Have the ability to identify and report near-misses and adverse events.
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, the Scientific Nursing Process and BCA bundles.
