Introduction
We're seeking a Afrikaans & English speaking Trainee store Manager - Permanent Position - Alberton ( Gauteng ),for our Client that sells cornices, ceiling boards, skirting boards and flooring from our store. They deal with the public and with contractors alike. It’s a small business but it can get very busy sometimes
Duties & Responsibilities
Attending to emails for the Alberton store
Quoting customers that walk in or ask for quotes via email
Selling to walk in customers (we have 2 sales people on the floor as well, but it can get busy)
Managing 2 young staff members
Managing/arranging deliveries of orders to customers
Managing online orders
Ordering stock from suppliers and managing those deliveries
Day to day management and control of the store
Managing the cash and petty cash in the store
Handle general filing tasks
Answer the phone
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric / Grade 12
Basic Maths
Retail experience
Computer literate (can work in Excel if needed). Nothing too involved. Lightspeed is the retail system we use. Very easy to use.
English and Afrikaans speaking with good communication skills
Have some knowledge of the building industry (knows the difference between square meters and running meters)
able to work under pressure and handle difficult customers sometimes.
Reliable and on-time
Presentable as this is a front desk job too
Package & Remuneration
Salary : R11 000 per month (after 3 months R11 500 per month)
Contract: Permanent position
Location: Albreton (Gauteng)
Opening and closing of the store (Mon to Thurs 8am to 5pm)
Fridays 8am to 4pm
Saturdays 8am to 1pm
