Manage inbound/outbound flows to/from the warehouses delivering to the local market.
Develop transport service KPI system; monitor and control carriers KPI’s on monthly basis.
Develop and manage projects on transport costs optimization/reduction; cost analysis and route optimization.
Prepare transport tariffs for AP and Budget, check invoices and prepare accruals.
Analyze daily delivery reports and customer’s service complaints and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
Visits Company’s and client’s warehouses on regular basis in order to check proper execution of loading and unloading goods procedures.
Visit clients (logistics staff) for regular meetings.
Control claim work against carriers in line with company procedure.
Ensure the relevant master data and delivery matrix maintenance.

Required qualifications, experience and competencies:
FMCG background
Experience in managing EXTERNAL fleet
A minimum of Matric and a relevant Degree or Diploma Logistics and or Warehouse Management
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment.
Vendor management experience is essential
Excellent communication skills with strong negotiation skills
Analytical thinker with good attention to detail
Must be computer literate in MS Office package, with ability to document processes into SOP format
