Nurses are expected to perform basic medical examinations. The company relies on their expertise, thoroughness and knowledge and illicit the information needed to come to an informed underwriting decision. The consequences of incorrect decisions affect various aspects of the company. Similarly, meticulous attention must be paid to collecting blood samples to avoid sample swapping and injury to the client. Nurses are expected to provide pre-test counselling of HIV. They need special training to ensure that all the insurance aspects of this counselling are covered. This is a sensitive, but extremely important aspect of their function.

Qualifications:
Matric
Registered Nurse
3 years Post Grad work experience in a hospital, clinic or doctors consulting room

Experience:
Laboratory experience as the 1st requirement
Pre and post HIV counselling qualification or experience – advantageous
Need to have a broad knowledge and exposure to all facets of the profession
Basic PC knowledge

REMUNERATION STRUCTURE

Monthly Remuneration

You will receive a guaranteed income of R15, 000.00
Medical Aid-50%

Car Allowance: company vehicle
Cell Phone allowance R400

Monthly Production Over-riders (paid in arrears)

In order to qualify for monthly over-riders nurses based in the central regions need to process >100 cases. (On average nurses finalise 125 policies per month)
For each case exceeding the minimum target (i.e. >100) you will earn an additional R110 per case

Joint Calls (i.e. when you see 2 or more clients at one venue) will be paid at a rate of R110 for the first client and then R55 for each additional client seen

Medicals that include FVL’s (Lung Function Test) will be paid at a rate of R150

Saturday Call-out Fee

Should you be required to work on a Saturday we will pay you a call-out fee of R150 for 4 hours or less
Should you be required to work on a Saturday we will pay you a call-out fee of R300 for a full day
