Our client is looking for a Turbo Generator Conditioning Monitoring Technician to join their Witbank team:

Minimum Qualification Required

• N6 / S4 Mechanical

Minimum Experience Required

• Vib 1, Vib 2, Vib 3
• Bearing Failure analysis
• Thermography 1
• Thermography 2
• Electrical motor analysis
• Root cause analysis
• Basic Tribology
• Five (5) years’ experience

Skills Required

• Must be computer literate.
• Experienced in Vibration data capturing, analysis and report writing.
• Experienced in Thermography image scanning and report writing.
• Familiar with Industrial Safety requirements.
• Good communication skills
• Leadership skills
• In depth knowledge of RBMware Vibration software.
• Technical knowledge
• Knowledge of the Quality Management Systems and ISO standards
• Knowledge of OHS Act, Construction regulations and Environmental regulations
• Knowledge of Human Resources and Industrial Relations

Duties

• Carry out vibration monitoring and analysis on various rotating equipment.
• Root cause / failure analysis and report writing.
• Carry out alignment on various rotating equipment.
• Balancing of rotating equipment.
• Carry out Thermography scans, analysis and report writing.
• Training of new staff
• Ensuring that the Administration document is current, and includes SHEQ objectives and that all Legal appointments are valid and in place for your area of control.
• Ensuring that the duties of the employer as contemplated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 are properly discharged and all legal appointments are valid and in place for your area if control.
• Measure and report on a monthly basis on Rework vs Revenue for your department and ensure that rework is reduced.
• Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the documented processes and comply with the requirements of ISO and OHSAS.
• Maintain an Audit rating of less than 2 and / or receive no major Audit findings.
