Professors Lynn Morris and Penny Moore are looking to recruit talented scientists and students to join their team at the NICD in Johannesburg. This is a well-funded group with strong international collaborations, doing cutting-edge HIV/AIDS research. Their recent papers have appeared in top scientific journals such as Nature, Nature Medicine and PLoS Pathogens. Successful applicants will be part of an innovative research program aimed at understanding antibody evolution in HIV infected people and vaccinated volunteers.

A skilled molecular biologist with experience in sequence analysis is needed to analyse antibody and viral sequences. A second vacancy is available for a cell culture expert to perform neutralization assays in HIV clinical trials. A Masters degree with at least 2 years experience is required for these positions.
