Our client is in the Commercial Print Industry and is looking for Typesetter. To manage typesetting should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· The day-to-day work of a typesetter depends on the printing schedule
· A typesetter must be able to operate the machinery for various types of printed documents -- adjusting for the font, paper size and weight.
· This involves measuring the spacing of text between lines and letters; allowing for ascenders -- the part of a lower case letter that rises above the letter's base height -- and descenders -- the portion of a character that extends below the base line; justification; and placement of images.
Typesetters are also the last to view the text before printing and should have good editing skills that may allow them to catch any spelling or punctuation mistakes that editors have overlooked.
