Introduction
TDS Projects is Located in Pretoria, various positions are available on contract at our site operations at Finsch Diamond Mine which is located in the town of Lime Acre, situated 160km north west of Kimberley and 109km south of Kuruman in the Northern Cape.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12/N2
• Qualified Plater/Boilermaker with Trade Certificate at recognized /accredited institution
• Recognized Apprenticeship
• 2 years post Apprenticeship experience
• Code EB License
Job Specification
Job Grade: C3/5 Reference TDS-006

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will be required to assemble and construct / erect steel structures according to sound engineering practices and equipment specifications in their area of responsibility.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Perform trade related erection, construction installation work on all Underground structures, equipment and machinery according to contractual requirements
• Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and Company standards
• Report all defects and to the Supervisor
• Report all deviations, variations to the Site Manager
• Develop, modify, construct and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
• Identify steelwork, equipment, vehicles and related items required in order to perform daily tasks
• Communicate with Site Manager and supervisors to inform on activities performed, measured against microschedule
• Create and maintain job micro schedule
• Work overtime, standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise
Other Skills/Competencies:
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Independent, pro-active thinker and have the ability to do own job planning
• Previous Underground maintenance experience will be advantageous
