Job Description
Responsible for fault finding using SCADA
Maintenance of substations, HT and LT (11kV)
Electrical protection relay maintenance
Fault Finding, maintenance, programming (on Siemens Variable Speed Drives)
Soft starter programming and maintenance
Maintenance of AC/DC Motors and Drives
Good working knowledge of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Battery Tripping Unit (BTU)
Ensure that the plants machinery is fully operational
Problem solving and assist Supervisors and team mates where necessary
Assist with artisan training and development
Ensure legal inspections on electrical installations is adhered to
Maintenance and fault finding on overhead cranes
Perform daily plant breakdown and maintenance reports
Interpret electrical drawings and perform fault finding job functions
Minimum Requirements
N6 National Diploma
Qualified Electrician / Millwright
5 years experience in mining in an electrical maintenance environment (underground mining)
Good working knowledge and experience of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Battery Tripping Unit (BTU), High Tension (HT) and Variable Speed Drives (VSD)
ECSA Registration will be advantageous
Valid drivers licence
