VBA Macro Developer needed – PTA – salary 18-25k neg

Development experience – Microsoft Office customizations using Macros & Office Add-in.
High level of proficiency in developing quality VBA code for MS Word & Excel using experience gained in MS Word VBA Development role.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Word templates using VBA Macros.
• Control Word via keyboard event handlers.
• Perform functional testing of the developed templates.
• Provide on-site tech support for Office products suite including Word, Excel and Power point.
• Assisting with the development of Project Scope, Specification of Requirements and Testing Plan documents, and any other documents required as part of the delivery of service to clients.
• A high level of proficiency in working with users, gained through working in a customer facing role, providing high levels of customer service, maintaining good and effective working relationships, managing expectations and delivering against promises.
• Supporting internal clients with queries related to MS Office, specifically MS Word templates.
• Work closely with the Software Development Manager and other members of the IT team.
• Communicate with the Software Development Manager with efficiency and accuracy on any issues, progress and /or delays.
• Make recommendations and incorporate improvements.

Requirements
• Matric / National diploma or equivalent qualification
• 2 Years experience in VBA, Office 2007 (specifically MS Word) Object Model
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with software development methodologies
• Excel macro development an advantage
• Experience delivering and/or authoring technical training
• Compubrand Toolbar plug-in experience an advantage

Salary: 18-25k neg. On experience
