Our client import, export and distribute FMCG products from and to various countries worldwide. They need to appoint an experienced Warehouse Admin Controller / Assistant Manager to ensure loading and offloading of products from/into the cold store/trucks as per instruction without compromising of Food Safety or Quality and to assist Cold Store Manager with the effective running of department by fulfilling daily duties and achieving set targets. The position is available in Montagu Gardens, Cape Town.

Duties:

General admin duties

Assist and support Cold Store Manager
Assisting of scheduling of Cold store Operations, optimizing operational efficiency
Assist in managing department and personnel workload
Ensuring staff complies with SOP’s
Managing the Cold Chain
Responsible for WMS system and stock integrity
Ensure stock is correctly allocated as per stock system
Ensure the weight and number of cartons are correct before loading in/off
Ensure that the correct product and quantity is loaded.
Ensure the stock being loaded is in good condition
Ensure documentation is correct/corresponding
Ensure orders follow through as planned
Ensure that all Sales Orders are picked from the Reach Truck report and given to the shift managers.
Ensure all local drivers’ PODs are returned daily.
Ensure that all Problem Orders and queries on the Reach Truck report are sorted.
Ensure that all containers are offloaded and sent back on time.
Ensure all GRVs are booked on the system
Ordering of truck seals
Ensure all files are up to date
Ensure that all Credits (returns) are written in the book and sent to the relevant people.
Ensure problem orders on SAP are communicated to the relevant people.
Corresponding with all departments (trading / production / logistics / etc)
Assist with logistical planning of company fleet
Ensure food safety and general housekeeping rules are adhere to

Qualifications/Skills needed:

Qualification in Logistics and or Warehouse Management
Young, vibrant, go-getter, good interpersonal and communication skills.
Someone who is hard working, can think on their feet, loyal and a team player
Keep a constant focus on the work
Attention to detail
Accurate data capturing
Excellent Problem-solving skills
Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines – time management essential
Computer literate (Excel, Word & Microsoft)
WMS system experience

Experience needed:

Logistics background advantageous
3-5 years relevant experience
SAP or any ERP system Contract
Must have own transport
