Warehouse Manager - Labelling Department.
Established, international FMCG company.

Purpose of the Job:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring that the dispatch, receiving, inventory, and labelling department is running efficiently and that KPI’s for the facility is being achieved and exceeded daily.

Job Responsibilities
• Execute daily labelling plan and ensure that any shortcomings are followed up and feedback provided to necessary department heads.
• Ensure that Inventory Management is applied daily.
• Ensure Daily Loading and Shunting plans are executed on time.
• Ensure that correct, item code, batch, lot as well as quantities are dispatched to the correct client.
• Ensure that all Invoices, SCT’s as well as scanning conforms to company requirements.
• Liaison with finance daily on all damages from picking, labelling etc. and isolate stock to damage location and ensure this is discarded weekly as per company regulations.
• Ensure that monthly cycle counts are done on all sock and that Monthly Stock counts are done as well with Stock Controller.
• Ensure good management practices are in place.
• Control and manage the staff in warehouse in accordance with company rules and regulations. Treat all staff with respect. Ensure that all parties have got a signed copy of the Code of Conduct.
• Ensure discipline is in place and be involve in disciplinary inquiries of your subordinates
• Ensure effective and clear delegation of duties to staff
• Conduct training needs analysis of labelling department
• Conduct performance management of warehouse operators.
• Manage training and development, multiskilling of all employees
• Ensure that Succession planning of your subordinates is in place
• Conduct daily meetings with the staff.
• Meet with Operations Manager daily on previous days KPI’s and give accurate feedback.
• Investigate variances when they arise and give full details to Operations Manager.
• Comply with or preventative maintenance plan
• Achieve 98% stock availability at Boltonia Warehouse
• 98% Machine Availability
• Ensure that seal numbers are recorded and that vehicle is sealed before leaving site, also ensure that seals are checked on inbound vehicles and discrepancies reported to plants and Warehouse Manager.
• Reconcile stock loaded/off-loaded on the truck with the security and to the invoice/SCT to ensure the correct number and type of product is loaded/off-loaded.
• Ensure that only released stock on the system is loaded and received.
• Ensure that stock is clean, well packed on the pallet and well wrapped
• Ensure that customers and transporters have relevant documents before leaving the premises
• Monitor processes and reports problems to operations manager
• Check incorrect labels and ensure this is fixed.
• Maintaining of Forklift and other equipment. Ensure daily inspections are done and all problems reported immediately and repairs arranged.
• Manage and monitor validity of Forklift Drivers. Liaise with HR office to arrange refresher courses.
• Handle general queries and ad-hoc requests and ensure that all operations are concluded before leaving.
• Ensure that facility is locked and opened as per SOP.
• Ensure that housekeeping is done daily and facility is in world class condition.
• Ensure that overtime is completed on time, signed off and submitted.
• Ensure that all leave requests are managed and actioned per company policy and procedure.
• Ensure stock released are done on-time and that all possible picking is done the day before shipping.
• Forward all required documents to invoicing clerk for invoicing purposes and ensure this is correct.
• Ensure that CHEP is correct and no broken pallets dispatched/received.
• Ensure that CHEP documents are forwarded to CHEP controller.
• Adherence to GMP
• Work additional hours when required to ensure operations run smoothly.
• Perform Ad-Hoc duties when required.

Ideal candidate:
Minimum Diploma/Degree in Logistics and Warehousing/Storage with Grade 12
5 Years experience in a similar role
Supervisory/Leadership skills
Computer Literacy
Syspro knowledge an added advantage
Sound computer knowledge (full MS office packages)
HACCP
Own transport
