Position Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for a developer to be part of a dynamic team developing business intelligence software in the agricultural sector. The position is based in Stellenbosch.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Contribute in the design and roll out of a number of IT solutions to support the group’s growth and strategic direction
• Create web forms to submit and retrieve data from a web hosted MySQL database
• MySQL database design and maintenance
• Create and update web applications
• Improve performance of web applications
• Basic skillset in multimedia content development
Requirements:
• Candidates must have 3+ years relevant experience;
• Degree/Diploma in IT related field
• At least one year post-graduate relevant work experience
• API knowledge
• Experience in the following:
o PHP
o HTML5
o CSS
o JavaScript (AJAX essential)
o Bootstrap
o jQuery
o MySQL

• A team player with good communication skills;
• A motivated individual/self-starter;
• Eagerness to learn;
• Structured and methodical approach to development;
• Ability to trouble-shoot and propose solutions;
• Solution and results orientated; and
• Background, understanding and/or affinity for horticulture/farming will be beneficial.
