PBT Group has a requirement for a WebSphere Administrator in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

DUTIES:
- Installation/Configuration of WebSphere Application Server
- Ensuring that the correct patch levels of the software is maintained
- Configuring WebSphere to integrate to various external components
- Deployment and configuration of custom and off-the-shelf software on WebSphere platform
- Monitoring WebSphere environments for optimal performance
- Fault finding any issues that may be experienced – especially in the development environments

SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Previous experience with WebSphere Application server including configuration of clusters
- Basic networking skills
- Basic Unix/Linux skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and solving problems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Self-driven, independent and problem solving skills.
- Basic application support experience

BENEFICIAL SKILLS:
- Previous experience with WebSphere MQ
- Experience with performance optimisation of WebSphere Application server
- Previous work with Source Code Repository products
- Previous work with monitoring products and the monitoring of WebSphere Application Server
