Our client a leader in the manufacturing of chemicals in South Africa are looking to engage the services of a qualified Welder to come on board and assist in their production plant.This position to be based in Sasolburg

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (with Maths and Science)
Red Seal (Welder)
Certified Level 2 Welding Inspector Qualification from SAIW (South African Institute of Welding) or equivalent.

Experience

Extensive, proven and applied experience in previous or similar environment,
Extensive welding experience.
Managing of procedures and systems according to ISO 9001 , 14001 & OSHAS 18001 standards,
Engineering risk assessments,
Mark defective areas and prepare reports of test findings,
Analyse x-ray photographs of welded joints,
Development of WPS and PQR for all relevant welding activities.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite,
Ability to work with diversified teams,
Excellent verbal and written skills,
Possess excellent time and stress management skills,
Effective in root cause analysis,
Knowledge of maintenance principles and best practices,
Knowledge of welding principles and metallurgical properties of materials
Detail and quality driven.
