Wine Laboratory Technician (W348)
*Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, applicable B.Sc Degree or Similar. Must be a team player. Own transport- ability to work flexible hours *

Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape

Description: A wine exporter requires a laboratory technician. Key performance areas will include: carrying out laboratory analysis within required specifications; making up accurate standard solutions and verifying this through standardisation and quality control checks; maintaining records of environmental and equipment controls; reporting of problematic areas; verification of good working order of equipment; correct usage and safe keeping of laboratory equipment; participation in the drafting, completion and reviewing of QMS procedures for laboratory processes; assisting in requested quality assessments/audits undertaken by the company; participation in the SANAS system and acting as an Technical Signatory when required; participating in technical research projects when required; assisting in the evaluation of supplier’s service performance; maintaining proper stock levels of chemicals, media and consumables; assisting in maintaining the Hygiene Management Procedure.

Requirements: Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, applicable B.Sc Degree or Similar. General Microsoft Skills, Word and Excel, analytical skills, accurate record keeping, good communication skills. Must have own reliable transport and willing to work flexible hours.
