Looking for a WMS Lead who has experience in the Supply Chain Environment in IT based in Johannesburg (Elandsfontein), but also looking after East Africa and may involve travelling from time to time. The role reports to IT Lead Africa.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Degree in IT, Logistics or Engineering
At least 5 years solid industry-related experience and at least 5 years solid WMS implementation experience
Technical competencies in a recognized Warehouse Management System
Manhattan WMOS (Desirable)
AIX Unix (Desirable)
Windows
MS SQL/Oracle SQL Scripting
Supply chain management knowledge
Planning and prioritising of multiple tasks
Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels
Commitment to accuracy and professionalism
Handling confidential / sensitive information with integrity
Good team player, able to work as part of the IT team, sharing knowledge, ideas and learning from team members
In depth knowledge of current IT trends and developments

Purpose of this position:

Responsible for leading the WMS function, including the overall management of the WMS environment and team. Actively participation in second level user support, trouble-shooting and maintenance, testing and deployment of changes and upgrades, define technical requirements for new implementations of the WMS system. Responsible for the system configuration and testing for new client take-ons and implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.
