The franchise Cash Crusaders, started up in 1996 as a single store in Plumstead, Cape Town. The franchise has increased to 150 stores throughout South Africa, spanning from Cape Town to Namibia. Although initially perceived as the place to buy or sell second hand goods, Cash Crusader now retails a large variety of new, directly imported goods that range from electronic goods to sporting equipment, furniture and household appliances, to name a few. They regulate used goods to ensure that the customer receives a quality product that includes a guarantee. Cash Crusaders makes selling easy by providing four options that include using the Buy Shop, store collection, e-form correspondence and in the event of having an unusually high priced item, one can delegate a consignment agreement. For difficult financial situations, secured loan and credit options are readily available. For those who are unable to go directly to a store, an e-catalogue of both new and used goods is available.

I really enjoyed working at Cash Crusaders in the finance department. It was a busy, fast paced environment and I really enjoyed the daily interaction from the various store managers. Retail is definitely not for the faint-hearted.
